S&P 500 E-mini futures 17th September 2012 Daily recap

Expectation that the market is moving into a 2-day reversal pattern back towards 1445...

Friday high resistance along with today's daily channels forming resistance

S&P Weekly and Daily cycles

As per Weekly Report, the completion of the move into 1464 would result in the S&P revisiting 1445..

This is also helped by the Friday high 'sell set-up' in September futures (2-day reversal pattern)

S&P trend bias is up into the September highs

NOTE:- FED meeting today, and if they agree to continue to print money the market is likely to respond in a kind way.

    S&P Weekly and Daily cycles

September highs reached after testing the previous weekly breakout @ 1423..

FED'S announcementt of further stimulus and sent the S&P up into the September highs, as shown in the Weekly report @ 1464

That completes this month's upward move, however SPOT futures will expire and this could see the DEC futures reach the same point on Friday, or early next week

  • S&P 500 e-mini futures 11th September 2012 Daily recap

the S&P can often move back and retest the previous Weekly breakout @ 1423 before it continue up towards the September highs @ 1445

    S&P Weekly and Daily cycles

As mentioned in the Weekly report and yesterday's recap...

Previous Weekly high @ 1423 was seen as support for a continuation up towards the September highs @ 1445.

Today's price action moved up 14 points, but remained within the Daily cycles @ 1436
It's not a forgone conclusion that price will continue up towards 1445, therefore keep aware that if it dips back below 1423 it's open to RISK

  • S&P 500 E-mini Futures 10th September Daily recap

price action in the DOW suggests the trend is moving down, with the S&P retesting the Weekly highs breakout;- @ 1423-26 (Support)
    S&P Weekly and Daily cycles

S&P has moved down into the Weekly levels @ 1423/26.

This often happens early in the week, as part of retesting the previous Week's breakout levels.

If the S&P is going to continue higher and complete the move into 1445, then it should begin to rise upwards from tomorrow.

The only concern of that not happening in the shift in the daily cycles on Tuesday
