S&P 500 E-mini Futures 30th October 2012 Daily recap

Daily cycles suggest move towards Tuesday's highs,(resistance) helped by a 4 hour close above the 5-day 50% level @ 1402

S&P Weekly and Daily cycles

Even though markets are closed, electronic trading still carries on...

Tuesday played out accordingly, rising up from the daily cycle levels @ 1397 & hitting the Tuesdays highs (Resistance)

Interesting pattern on Tuesday, as a Daily close above higher timeframe levels (October 50% level 1407.50 could see further gains on the last day of the month.

Therefore 1407.50 will decide if there's a move upwards or not.

Even though I think US markets are trying to rise upwards again...

Tuesday could move back down because of the patterns in the Daily cycles(Blue channels)

    S&P Weekly and Daily cycles

Tuesday eneded up being a DOWN day, and the way the S&P has broken the Daily lows and is currently trading below the Weekly lows, my view of the S&P 500 remaining in an upward trend is now open to Risk.

Wednesday's price action could end up being a Fake break, as the October 50% level @ 1407.50 continues to support the trend...

but at this stage I wouldn't bet on it...

Daily cycles for tomorrow should provide a better idea.

Weekly highs:- random resistance of 8.5 to 14 points

    S&P Weekly and Daily cycles

1459 formed resistance (weekly highs), but it didn't complete the precise 14 point reversal towards the daily 50% level..

That might still happen in after hours trading before the cash market opens on Friday

Trend bias is UP (above the Weekly 50% level)...

There is also a breakout of Tuesday's highs which should continue up into Wednesday's highs

    S&P Weekly and Daily cycles

As mentioned a couple of days ago, the trend bias was to continue higher on Tuesday, which resulted in a breakout of the daily highs...

This leads to more upside movement within the Daily cycles, helped by the 4 hour close above the daily filter @ 1449.75

Random Resistance the Weekly highs:- above that and target is the October highs.

US markets look like they will rise upwards and retest the daily 50% levels before the CASH market opens...
using the red filters in the Daily cycle as trend guides @ 1420

    S&P Weekly & Daily cycles

As noted in the Weekly Report, October 50% level in the monthly cycles @ 1416.50 had random support...

Monday was then helped by the price action in the daily cycles @ 1420 sending the S&P upwards before the cash market openned.

The Daily 50% level then formed resistance, but the Weekly level @ 1422 came into play for more added support.

my view is that Tuesday will continue to trend upwards

Daily close below Weekly lows and Daily lows @ 1427 and trend bias is down into Thursday's lows (random Support)
Daily 50% level random resistance (1-day counter-trend move)

    S&P Weekly and Daily cycles

My view at the start of the day was to continue lower using 1427 as resistance, and down into Thursday's lows @ 1416

but instead the 4 hour close above 1427 attracted buying towards the daily 50% level @ 1438

1 day counter-trend move upwards using 1433 as support...

Daily 50% level and Weekly 50% level is seen as resistance

    S&P Weekly and Daily cycles

Tuesday completed the 2-day reversal pattern, so there was an expectation that there could be a 1-day upward move to retest the 50% levels

4 hour support @ 1433 failed to continue up towards those 50% levels, and instead there's a 4 hour close below Wedneasday's lows and also the Weekly lows...

This is going to put pressure on US markets to fall further in the Short-term....

Tuesday is still part of a 2-day reversal...

This needs to be confirmed with a 4 hour close below the blue channels in the Daily cycle

    S&P Weekly and Daily cycles

2nd day reversal confirmed on the 4 hour close below the daily levels @ 1451

Currently there is Random Daily support on Tuesday's lows @ 1436.25

The Trend bias now looks like it can continue down into the Weekly lows, unless there is after-hours buying before the cash market opens, and Wednesday's opens back above the Weekly 50% level
